Strong 4800 or Humax 5400 ? - Page 2

With the right PIDs you can get them on the Humax aswell...

As for the channels you actually also get the Austar demo channel which is not available to the Humax either unless again you have its PIDs.

As to why this is the case, sorry to get your hopes up I dont know either but have noticed it on my Strong SRT4800II as compared to the Humax 5400.

Hi all,
I have had the strong decoder for a few days now and I am still learning how to drive the beast.The first thing that I thought was great was the ease in which I set the box up.Did'nt read the manual pluged in the dish,pluged in the cam picked the sat scaned for channels and bingo I had a picture.The only thing that I can complain about so far is the EPG it only displays two programs which is a pain,Does anyone know how to change this.

I've an EmTech and I don't get these either.
What are the PID's?

Well I dont know how to get the PIDS from the strong however the Austar demo, channel which now is some Nickelodeon Kids choice awards thing is set to VPID 512, APID 640, PCR & PMT I got is 8192.
