Question 4800II as second decoder for AU*TAR

I have a mate with a 4800II from the bad ol' days. I'm a legit subscriber to AU*TAR. I am wondering if I can use the 4800II as a second decoder. I will be simply pulling the card out of the main STU & putting it in the 4800II in my bedroom.

Will it work? Do I have to get an updated cam? etc etc

TIA

Tosca

Good luk.
AUSTAR STBs are married to the spongebobs, not spongebob married to the STB. Hence you can take spongebob and put in any non austar irdeto capable stb. It works for my two spongebobs in my toppy and UEC.
