Thumbs up Finally Broadband for me

After been on dial up internet for about 4 years, I decided to try and get broadband but to find out that I lived to far to recieve Adsl and I tried for Isdn only to have Telstra stuff me about. So I went to the one way sat and using my own sat dish and the company supplied the pci card I was up and running in no time. To have a 2gig peak and another 2gig off peak is good.

A couple of questions for ya if you don't mind.

One way? does that mean only for downloads? do you still have to use dialup for uploads?

What size dish and what type of LNB do you have?

What sat is it pointed at?

How much does it cost?

Mate only to happy to answer your questions.

Cost is $77 for 2gig peak and 2gig offpeak you can check it out with this link http://www.bordernet.com.au/heavyusers.asp

Dish size 85cm and the lnb is just a standard for the paytv.

The sat is Pas8.

And it is only for downloads and you use the dialup as your upload and you can get around 50kbps (that's bytes).

I hope this helps you mate.
