downloading movies

has anyone got any opinions on downloading movies p2p.i've tried 1 but it doesn't work(don't ask) but i was wondering whether or not you get any good ones or not,i mean ones that play good.and also how long does it usualy take to download say a 1h movie.thanks!

I frequently download movies from KaZaA (or it's equivalent).
It's a hit and miss thing usually. I've spent a few days downloading a new movie only to find it's another movie renamed.
As for movies that 'play good' I look for files that are large in size, that is over 500meg.
Last week I got the new Jackass movie. It's a rip (not from cinema) but it was only 200meg, so the quality was a bit dodgey, but still viewable and funny as hell.
I connect to the net via a 56k modem, and providing ebough people are sharing the file, an hour movie (400meg, good quality) will take around 1 day to complete.

Have you considered paying for a service like easynews cost very little per year and offer most things you would like to download, if you goto www.easynews.com they normally have a free trail avalible. You may need a decient speed connection most of the movies are now svcd rips taking up about 1Gbit to download
