Another Dreambox to PC TV application

At the risk of exposing myself to a demoralising critique of my programming skills. I thought I’d share a program I’ve written. It works in the same way as WEB-X TV, so if you can’t get that working, you won’t have any success with this. Also I’ve only tested it with a 7020 on Windows XP using Gemini 2.7 and VLC 8.4a, so I don’t know if works on anything else. It has a couple of nice features like playing files off your dreambox and makes it easier to dump streams to your harddrive using VLC’s sout option. Also theres a small language file if you fancy translating it

dreamView013.zip - for VLC version 0.8.4 or greater
dreamView014.zip - for VLC version 0.8.5 or greater
Attached Files
File Type: zip dreamView013.zip (112.5 KB, 17 views)
File Type: zip baselanguage.zip (1.5 KB, 12 views)
File Type: zip dreamView014.zip (180.4 KB, 39 views)

WEB-X tv works fine with vlc 0.84a and Gemini 2.7, with your appz I'am getting "run-time error 13 after 2 sec Type mismatch". BTW nice feature!

Re: Another Dreambox to PC TV application

@ Jarex, thats a pity. Just to help me out a bit here, are you running XP and is this immediately after clicking on the icon or after the screen comes up.

Re: Another Dreambox to PC TV application

Perhaps I should add a bit more. I am able to open appz and download list of channels but whenever I click on choosen channel it comes up and then after 2sec an error apears.

Re: Another Dreambox to PC TV application

@Jarex, Thanks, it sounds like its getting upset in the bit of code that gets the epg, if you give me an example of a channel thats not working, I'll try it myself. Thanks for the input

Re: Another Dreambox to PC TV application

I get this error on every channel don't know why. Here you can see screenshoot of it.

I can still watch channel with this error moving this small window to the side but there is no joy restarting appz every time. I hope you figure it out.

One more question to you. What does this option "NoCone Fudge" stands for?

I tried to change a time from default to for example 15000 and that error appears after amout of milisec times up I think.
