SAMBA Prblm with gemini 2.0 mod

hi all thanks for this great image which enabled me to record movies without any problems (cross using new enigma with ide fix and gemini mod 2.0)

but i have two prblms:
first samba doesn't seem to work, the installation is ok but a im not able to get it functional as it used to work with the pi2 image(though I think i configured it ok ie i put an ip adress, downloaded the pluug in and enabled it in the menu dedicated to it)
Second i would like to know with wich soft i can backup information and profil in the gemini mod as flashwizard doesn't seem to recognize it

try to do a backup with dcc 2.4 final. i am not sure if it works, but have a try.

concerning samba: first check, wheter samba is running or not. -> connect via telnet to the box and type in ps. do you see smbd and nmbd?

hi no i don't see anything like that but i installed samba by downloading it... i don't understand because with the trillenium image i had the possibility to installed it with the plug in functionnality... any ideas???

stupit question - what is samba why I need it.
I have simply flashed new image, installed newcamd emu, edited newcamd.conf for card sharing and everything is ok.

not stupid!! elementary;op

samba is usefull if you want to share the hdd of your dreambox and use it with xp or 2000 or linux!!

i still have this prblm and don't understand how to launch samba server, i downloaded it and install it with the standard procedure but still i am not able to see the hdd from my computers... any idea???
