modify rcdm5xxx.xml

Hi,

i want modify some key function. I edit rcdm5xxx.xml in /share/tuxbox/enigma/resources/ but anytime i save the new file, it gives me error (with flashFXP):

[r] PASV
[r] 227 Entering Passive Mode (192,168,0,24,104,187)
[r] Opening data connection IP: 192.168.0.24 PORT: 26811
[r] STOR rcdm5xxx.xml
[r] 553 Could not create file.
[r] Transfer Failed!

what do i do? I cannot modify the file in this image?

i solved )

i copy the original xml to /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/resources, edit it and now work!

Now you have two versins. One in /share/tuxbox/enigma/resources/ and another in /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/resources
Is that the point?

/share/... is read-only, /var/... ist read-write. that's why you cannot save changes when editing the file in /share/...

at boottime it is checked if a version of the file is in /var/... if yes then it loads that one, else the other one.

After booting, this file in /share/... is not active any more, so you can change permissions and edit or delete this (original) file. Or better to keep original for backup.

just telnet in ,and goto the subdirectory where the file is , and key in the command : chmod 755 xxxx.xml, thanks.

it's not possible. The rights are hardcoded and you cannot change these.
