addons on usb / hdd

just loaded my first Gemini image and want to load addons onto hdd or usb as var is almost full

How can I do this with this image - I am used to hydra menu and this image is obviously different

downloaded geminin manager but cannot see how this will do the job

blue panel - extra settings there you have a option for this.

found that option, formatted USB, restart, move var to usb and restart.

BUT when I try to download mgcamd via blue panel tells me var is 92% full and then an error disk full and a number of sizes.

If I use Gemini manager to install the mgcamd then that's not a problem, wherever it puts it. USB is showing gemini 1.04 folder so the image is there on the usb stick

and still showing me 92% full and will not allow downloads via blue panel.

I had the same problem. I put the var on my HDD (120 Gb, used for 95%) and I couldn't install anything anymore. Probably there is some bug when the 'blue button panel' tries to check if there is enough space avialable to complete the installation. (Size of the var dir on HDD is a huge negative number).

There is however an option to switch off this checking. At the moment I can't remember where this option is located but click arround in the blue button pannel and you'll find it. In case not, let me know and I'll check it as soon as I'm close to my dreambox.

Many days ago, I have meet this probleme.
Because Gemini cant reconize the hard disc capacity betewen 8Mo and 32Go only ?????

The solution is very simple... I have send by ftp many files till my hard drive have less 32Go ......

And after (Bingo!) All is OK ....To move Var to hd
After that you can delete all files you have send by ftp
