Smile Need help using gemini manager

Could anyone help me please, or direct me to a thread, which explans how to use the gemini manager, as I want to transfer keys to the 107 image. When I open the manager I'm totally lost what to do..? I'm very new to this, and as such I'm still finding problems... I downloaded spartan's light pack last night, and want to send it to my dreambox 7000s. Would be grateful of any help!

First, to send spartans pack (or anything downloaded to your pc) to the DB, you need to send by ftp (for example using DCC, dreambox control center).

Second, to use Gemini Manager, select Options - Box 1 - New Profile - fill in the items - Save Profile. With lan and internet connected, open GM and select Addon Manager. The rest should be obvious. GM will download from the list and send to the box. Regards, pcd.

Thanks for coming back to me... really appreciate it.. I have the gemini manager opened at the moment. And I've got as far as typing in the profile. Is "host box IP" the dreambox IP address?
"Box username" Can you put anything here, or does it have to be more specific?
"Box password" Don't think I have one added.

As you can see I'm fairly lost about the whole thing. Would be so happy if you could put me right about the above!

username root, password dreambox. After you have saved it, select 'find image' button at the bottom. If you can't see it, change your window to the next level, to make everything smaller. Ane reopen Gm.

thanks pcd,

I got the manager working with your help. I'm at the moment checking installed cams, keys.. seems a great program! I did try and install "spartan light pack" with install add-on from pc button, but the folder didn't show the key-package inside.. I feel I'm 99.9% of the way there.. Could you let me know what I'm doing wrong?

Pleased to hear you are getting there ! The spartan's pack is for ftp, to send it to the box you need DCC or another FTP client. With the Gemini Manager you can only transmit what is in the list or something you have downloaded to the pc from the Gemini home site (tar.bz2 form).

pcd,
I downloaded DCC, and am trying to figure it out.. thanks for the info.. I also have dreambox key updater au 3.0.0 installed now. This seems like a nice program, only I can't seem to find a key-site I can download from. I'm using ones given in the form that came in a key-file. Could you please suggest one.. I have been trying to download emus with DCC. I tried telenet -without success.. And FTP for keyfiles. I couldn't open the folder with FTP, because only files with numbers came up in the list, that were unopened by a driver.. and I couldn't identify the right folder.. Maybe I'm doing something wrong with FTP?
If you are anyone can give me more advice, it would be dearly appreciated!
