Can somebody please give a guide how to record to pc from a 5620 with this image ? I have CIFS mounted. I tried quick button - vcr menu, nothing happens. Regards, pcd.

OK I found out how to record from the 5620 using the remote. Mount CIFS as usual. Press Video button until you see vcr buttons, then press Radio button to start recording. To stop, press Radio button again when you see the stop menu. Regards, pcd.

So how does it record? .TS? and also how is the quality? Just curious.

Produces .ts files. I tried mtuxvision and mgrab for recording and found the cifs method the best - only in multivision a small amount of pixelation.

Create a new user with username=dream, passwd=dream, and create a shared folder dreambox in the c: directory and a sub folder movie (not movies) such that c:\dreambox\movie. In the DB download and instal CIFS plugin. In expert settings-comm gui select cifs, dream, dreambox, hdd, rw and mount. It is very simple ! Regards, pcd.
