missing DVR record button on remote control

Is the NFS record button missing,on Gemini 1.03?I tryed everythink ,but cant find on remote DVR record button.On web browser NFS record starts with no problem,also repay works good,but damn record button.

I've got the same problem and I asked for it days ago here in the board. I think we two are the only ones in the world, which are using the DVR Option with a DM500 original remote control and noone can help us

I have a 5620, which remote control has not the "rec" button, but to start NFS recording I have to press the "video" button (twice?) to see the controls (start, stop, pause, rew, ecc. )and then the "radio" button (with Gemini 1.02).

Dont have a video button on the dm500 remote. Surley it can be mapped to a key if it is not already, what does the green button do? nothing for me, if it's a spare maybe it can be used. I might go and have a look what the 7000 remote button does and see if i can figure it out.

I'm sure, that there are at least two DM500S hardware revisions, because I have two DM500S Boxes, one of them had a flash defect and Dream Multimedia changed the board to a very new one. With this changed board, I have no problems to record with cifs on a Windows share. On my second DM500S, I have the same software release (Gemini 1.03 for DM500), the same settings in the CIFS mount, plugged into the same network switch. When I want to record with that box, the box is freezing like yours every 10 or 20 seconds recording. Playing back the recordings of the first box is no problem. I tried to change the network cable, but it isn't possible to record with that DM500S. The second phanomen is, that with the second box it isn't possible to make a restart out of the onscreen menu (the box don't come up again), but out of the webpage the restart works.

So, your only resolution is, to change your board to a very new revision or to wait until the Gemini Team finds out the problem with the earlier board revisions.

@ bobbel - well after a re-install of the image etc, cifs recording is great - is your box freezing while recording or is freeze in the actual recording on playback?

The only problem i have with this image now is channels freezing - screen is frozen with pic on it, a channel change fixes it instantly which is also the same with pressing the standby button on the front of the box. I have upgraded rdgd to 3.14 beta or whatever it is with the same results. It looks more to be a problem with engima locking up or something? and secondly no record button on the remote, unless someone can point me to the right button....

as far as I know, Descriptor needs to be activated for Radegast. But this can make the image unstable...

Descriptor activation in enigma can be unstable due to buffer overrun problems but there are more "smarter" ways to do it
