transponder time vs Receiver time

I am facing a weird problem with my dm 500. I 've installed gemini 1.02 and everything works except for the EPG which is always wrong. I found out that the tranponder time is some how different in +1 hour than it should be, so all the EPG programing is wrong. I tried to syncronize the time, but eveytime i reboot or go to stand by, the box comes up with the same time difference. Is there anything i can do or is this a "bug" to report ?? As anyone got the same problem?? Is there a way to change this ... probably editing a config file???
Thanks

P.s. as i am from Portugal my time zone is GMT london,Lisbon...

Im not sure if this will help but once had the same problem with image (using GMT time on DB7000)

Try changing locations to Monrovia, that did the trick for me.

Thumbs down

Hi M8s,

I have the same problem. I have installed Gemini 105 on a DB7000s. Transpoder time is OK(GMT+2). Receiver time has nothing to do with reality. It shows 05-05-1999. When I go to correct it, it gives me options only from 1998 up to 2002(Drop down menu).

Is it any solution. This bug affects the EPG.

Regards
Dinos

Hi,

My 5620 with Gemini 1.02 seems to have the same problem - the transponder time is one hour in advance to GMT. I can set the receiver time to GMT so that it displays correctly on the box when it is in standby, but the programme and EPG timings are all one hour different. Makes it confusing as to what is coming up and when. Not sure if this can be fixed by editing a config file.

Bob

i had the same but i noticed that it was because of my motorized dish.

after i move the dish to another sat, the time and date are completely out.

if i reboot the box on the new sat than the time is resynced ok.
