Newcamd - client has pictures, but not server

Hi all

I have an internal CS setup with two dreambox 7000's.

Both boxes running Pli Emerald image. The server has the sub card in the DB card reader and newcamd is the default emu. I am getting pictures on the client but not the server.

Do I need to have a newcamd.conf file for the server? Any suggestions?

Thanks to some help from another forum, I've nearly solved it.

I didn't have a local user in the cardserv.cfg file. Now just need to correct some picture break-up.

in short YES.

server has 2 jobs, one to server other boxes
&
if you want pics on it you need to set it up similar to the client.

OK, tried setting up newcamd.conf for the server but getting lots of pixelation on it, client is pixellating but not as bad as server.

check to see if you have the same IPs on both dreamboxes

Do you mean the same server IP's in the newcamd.conf files for each dreambox? If so, yes that is setup OK.

check to see if the emu has the same provider id in the keys section

put same key files from working DB

Not necessary - I'm running an I2 card, not keys in the ppua/keylist file.

OK, just to confirm that I am getting pictures but every now and then they pixellate or "break-up". This is the same whether I have the server running solo or with a client attached. The sub card is in the top slot. Sharing over LAN only.

I get completely clear pictures when using a Irdeto CAM or radegast softemu, so it's definitely a newcamd issue.
