Camd3 & xx_CASC parameters in camd3.users file

IN_CASC and OUT_CASC parameters in camd3.users.
What do they mean ?
What are they used for ?

I looked around searching for an explanation but without success.
I understood they are used for CASCADING but nothing else.
You know, my german is really poor , worst then my english.
