Cannot get any french

I really need help now. I get SLY with scam but cannot and have not ever been able to get french with it (multi & t*s). Abs*t also lacking now.

So can someone either help me with scam or suggest how I get newcamd 6.01 working - as it is dead as a dodo.

any help appreciated.
