FFS put all newcamd thread here

I had Newcamd 5.28 installed before, i manually choose to remove it.
After i copy all files (readme.txt explain, and a post above..) reboot the DB , but no way to make Newcamd 5.28 gone ! he's alwas there :/
How can i remov it definitively.
I'm using RuDream .

I have now newcamd5.28 installed.
How do you think - will it be OK if I just replace old newcamd file with new ones? And chmod 755 to newcamd?

Hmmm - any1 managed to make cardserver.i386 work ? I mean it starts but none of the cards init
[cardserver 15:23:14] Card 0/0 init failed
[cardserver] TIOCMGET: Input/output error
[cardserver 15:23:14] Error reading card switch bit, serport 0

i have no luck install on rudream 0427 image.

please anyone give me instruction how to install it.

On my DB7000 I placed the libcrypto and libcamdio in /var/lib (create dir if necessary) and replaced the newcamd/cardspider/cardserv.

Workes fine, with same configs.

Have read though, and experienced it myself, that T*S-channels zap very slowly. Takes a couple of seconds.

A friend of mine told to tell you to look at the next lines in /var/etc/cardserv.cfg:

CARD_DETECT_BIT = DCD
CARD_DETECT_INVERT = yes

Maybe you need to edit those lines, or even remove them completely.
Also read the example-cfg included in the package.
