For the newcamd 6.00 the scce folder has to be made in var/tuxbox

I assumed you meant /var/scce

And about the binary file newcamd itself:
In the Archive, there is the newcamd.ppc file, do we have to compile, deploy, whatever ... it??

Based on this, I guess we can end up with some kind of step by step tutorial

Just read the lines again. It says /lib or /var/lib...

Nope, read the readme.txt (Search for History, then check for newcamd:)

Just place newcamd.ppc in /var/bin and remove .ppc... The extentions are used to make it clear which file should be used on which platform...
