Help:

I've done everything, but i don't know how to start the newcam6 form the panel. I don't see a "newcamd 6" in the list of installed softcams, but that is something i can arrange that artificially, but this is not the right way to start it.

So, how do i use the newcamd?

Hi, I am totally new to this - I have a DM500S running release 1.08 firmware. I have uploaded the Newcamd files following directions elswhere in this thread, and removed the file in /tmp that was stopping it from starting, but I am now getting the following error:

/var/bin/newcamd
[newcamd-v6.01 18:09:07] compiled May 13 2005, 13:43:20
[newcamd-v6.01] scce_open: Device or resource busy
[newcamd-v6.01 18:09:07] Error opening scce device. All emu and cws will be disabled.
[newcamd-v6.01 18:09:07] Error: nothing left to do

I have the /var/scce directory populated and I've created the symbolic link scce from /var/tuxbox... HELP !!!! WHERE AM I GOING WRONG ??!!!???

Is still in beta but you can use it to easely create cardserv.cfg/cardspider.cfg and newcamd.conf
