possible hdd/cf prob with 107 based images????

havin done some experiments it seems that the cf prob may be linked to an interestin prob with all hdds...i put a seagate 20 gig drive(new) into one of my db7ks with the latest ru...formats fine and checks...but init for addons failed...copied the /hdd/var directory form anutha db7k usin the same image and it works...so i suspect the problem lays deeper than we thought...the cf card 128 meg also formats fine and i also copied the var directory as well but it didnt work and when i rebooted the db the cf card didnt remount....has anyone else noticed this problem...it was initialy suspected that it was hdds etc based on 16 bit...but maybe more....ive also experimented on some laptop hdds so same issues (16bit)....has anyone had a similar prob with other images

Like I sayd before:

All my experiments with CF card and new images based on 107.2 or 107.3 worked ok if remove the lines of hdd commands at the /etc/ini.d/rcS file, if you guys compare with the previous images based on 106, they don't have any of those lines, all new images tested without thouse lines booted ok with my 128Mb Cf card!!

The only bad thing I notest is:

Sometimes puting DM in shutdown (not the normal standby) next time boot hangs up with CF cards, so still using USB sticks or noise HDD is still the most stable solution !!!

yes i did try commenting out the lines and the box just froze....nufin....as i dont multi boot its a prob....so possibly somewhere else maybe the prob

I have the same problems with latest ruDreams and 256MB Comapct Flash.
