Clock Pull-Up

Hi all,

Simpler solution is to take a 1K resistor and solder from Clock pin to 5V VCC pin.

This "Pulls" the clock line upto over 4.4V and this will also work once the images manage to controll the clock divider properley!!!

Party on..

nop -no this wonnt help you as that mod was for the card detection switch -it seem the earlyer one the resistor w ant small enought to drag down the card switch level to below 1 volt the resistor helps this

AVR-rulez -its not the dc voltage that is the problem it is the over all clock level some cards work with a level @1-2vPP others like wafer cards need 3-4vPP of clock level to work

dream will not do any about it as the box is only designed to do the europen cards

@spooky,

The resistor on the clock live ot Vcc pulls the clock line high when on, and zero when off... so it goes to 4.4V P-P.. thats what AVR was saying. (it also cleans the waveform up from that ugly sawtooth to an almost square)

In other works... cutting tracks and soldering transistors is overkill!

ok have tried this mod as well work the same -and a stated it does not require cuting any tracks

a value of between 220-390ohms is ok 220-270 for best results

So I assume all is needed is a 270 resistor between +5 and CLK (between pin 1 and 3)?

yes just place a 270 ohm resistor between pins 1 and 3

Re: dream box card reader fix

Drag up an oldie (after it was pointed out)
Has anyone tried this mod and put a white card in the reader?
