I would like to give an opportunity for the Oz community to voice their suggestions for features, apps and plug-ins etc they would like to see on the DreamBox.

I would like to see a plugin that starts the box from standby and switches to a specific channel at a given time so that I won't miss the next episode of Pizzas

The timer does that now. Not sure about starting from standby.
But wait theres more you can watc it anytime as you have recorded it.

nope mate... I don't want to record it... I want to have the TV switched on.... if I record it, I'll never watch it! No time mate.... no time!

I don't know if this is feasable guys, but how about a DVD player plugin. I know the DB will play VOB files so all that may be needed is a fancy front end.

You will need to set up a NFS share to a DVD drive on a PC on your network.

I don't know how often I would use it as I have 3 DVD players and 3 PC's with DVD drives but it would be fun to play with.

The timer function can do that!
You can select between recording, streaming and just switching to the channel.
If your TV switches on, well that depends on your TV. Maybe it will come out of standby when it sees activity on the SCART input.

My vote is for an MPEG4 decoder plugin, so you can watch DivX or Xvid movies on the dreambox.

i would like to see a internal logging program to log the data stream and some thing that plays divx files
and maybe some that alerts you to pmk updates either on the screen or email
