I dont think the DM500 supports the WS signal on the SCART connecter so SCART TV's autoswitch to the correct 16:9 or 4:3 screen format.

It would be nice. Many other products support this.

well, it all started when i browsed my dreambox 7000 with an iPhone. Yes, an IPHONE. Now im even writing this text from my iPhone. 8)
ok there is nothing special, just web browsing, but to be honest its really cool to stay away from my laptop and to control what you can. It can replace even the remote control himself!

Ok back to reality.

I dont know how many of you, my friends, has an iPhone but i know everyone here has a dreambox. So maybe there are many people interested in a iDream thing... So i decided to enter here and see if this is not new. after i searched for 'iphone' keywords on this forum, i found only 'how to convert ...'.
So i think this is something new and i posted here...

What do you think about any piece of software which can benefit from this 2 wonderful devices. Examples: starting from phone contacts, mesages, email, pictures, mp3s, why not converters, file transfers, ... and may i dare to mention ...... video streaming! (iPhone has a very qualitative screen!) This should be the maximum, i know.
and dreambox may benefit also: cam or k*** update, settings, chat, and many things which anyone else suggests.
i know this is a dreambox forum and im asking for iphone and dreambox softwares, but i'll do the same thing in an iphone forum.

You guys and any mac programer could do things which only we could dream on.


... and if you do it, just name it: iDream!

I have a modded XBOX running XBMC. It is pretty good as a media server, but it seems to me that my Dreambox 7025 is likely a better processor. It's been a year and a half since I used the DB, and I know that the primary function is to watch satellite--but I still wonder, are there any recent images that have media server functions similar to XBMC ie. IPTV functions, Python Script ability, online media streaming etc. etc.

it would very helpfull if we could stream the osd to vlc or in some other way...

then we could use the signal levels from dreambox to a laptop pc to adjust our dishes....
