Hi Xphile,

First of all thanks for all the great things happening lately.

These are a few of my thoughts of what I would like to see.

Firstly the VCR functions a little more stable, occasionly fast forwarding core dumps (most images).

On Screen Logging and Analysis with a feature to save all logging to hdd.

Automatic Timezone daylight savings changes (based on tick on setup)

Scan Frequencies / Sr levels as a blind scan option

A feature to read hmk/pmk/pk direct from a gold type card (display only).

Features for analysing Data Streams.

Better Remote control handling (eg desensitising re double key press, then again this may be my dream which is currently having to have its connector possibly refitted after the 36C day on Saturday)

Keys Editing on screen, including delete keys (as in sf images).

Thats all I can think of now

I would say a MP3 player with shuffle option and a jpeg viewer would make is a real multimedia machine!

hi,

I would like a plugin (or image..) with small editing for the recorded movies..
a function for "cut from the beginning of movie" and another "cut till the end of movie"
so that we can review the freshly recorded movie and cut ads and unwanted programs from the hdd... and gain space
I often add some (lot of) minutes to be sure getting the record I want, and I must transfer it to the pc to do that simple job.

I'd like to have MPEG4 decoder plugin, so I can watch DivX or Xvid movies on the dreambox

The ability to edit and completely delete channels via remote, that would be nice

Would be nice if you could put inside a plug in that makes all channels,and the advertising the same Loudness

I agree with Mike.

One of the few thing we can't do with a Dreambox which we can do with the cheapest receiver available - edit and delete channels directly, without the need for third party software on a remote PC.

I'll start with the annoying things: having to go edit ini files to change passwords back and forth between my 2 boxes which run different images for different reasons, the box that tells me who made the plugin b4 i can get into it, ie: the access to the emu's there is a box that pops up telling me rudream made the plugin. no access to the settings of the emu's without editing the cfg files, power downs when you go to get into settings pages,

It seems that the images are just about totally full trying to accomadate all users from everywhere!

Now the things i'd like to have: the ability to strip out the unneeded stuff in the images that we dont need or use, more ftp functionalityrog flashfxp has the ability to transfer files from 1 ftp to another, this would give the ability to transfer from 1 DB to another directly and with net access it could serve to help others who are struggling or newbies, could also take the place of card sharing thru possibly the compare feature which would update changed files you set it to watch.(theorizing just then)
a script in the initialization of the image to check for a hdd and utilise it for storage of static files and lesser used stuff to try and reduce the load on the memmory structure of the DB, access to all settings again!! that'll do for now

well ive started learning C but its going to be a long while before i can make it and i havent fully checked how possible it is yet, but id like to add support for usb drive bays/ usb DVDR support for dvr, id also like MPEG 4:2:2 support on the rec rather than streamed, but as i say i havent checked how possible they are within the hardware limitations of the DB
