DM500-S with Foxtel digital videoguard
I am getting foxtel Digital (through satallite) installed (i cant get optus in my area) and i beleave the C1 satallite has the current videoguard encription. i have been looking at getting one of the dreambox DM500-S to work with the card that will be provided for i have been told they can be set up with another linux share or windows share to record directly off the tv to a HDD over the network.
does anyone know if this is actually true or if the current foxtel digital with videoguard protection will even work in this box. also i am thinking of trying to set up the spair satallite disk that was handed down to me from a friend, up on a family members roof so i can set up the orriginal foxtel box there and use my card there when i stay over. i believe the C1 satallite is the one that they usially point the dishes towards and it is at 154.0 dagrees E
