Here it is.

What to do:

- unzip dropbearmulti.zip
- upload on /var/bin + chmod 755

on a telnet session
- cd /var/bin
- ln -s dropbearmulti dropbear
- ln -s dropbearmulti dropbearkey
- ln -s dropbearmulti dbclient
- ln -s dropbearmulti ssh
- ln -s dropbearmulti scp
- mkdir /var/etc/dropbear
- /var/bin/dropbearkey -t rsa -f /var/etc/dropbear/dropbear_rsa_host_key

Then it's ready, You've just to add a line like:

/var/bin/dropbear -r /var/etc/dropbear/dropbear_rsa_host_key

on /var/etc/init then reboot && enjoy

Thanks works perfect

Will output 1024 bit rsa secret key to '/var/etc/dropbear/dropbear_rsa_host_key'
Generating key, this may take a while...

for GLIBC_2.0 problem use a libc.so.6 fixed (certainly lololuy could help you )

Thanks lololuy nice compil again

Thnx lololuy!

Looks promissing... Now I can manage the thing from the internet

1 problem here though when creating the keys:

/var/bin/dropbearkey: error while loading shared libraries: libutil.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I reckon this has something to do with larson44_33's remark? I'm using SDT Quarta.

Greetz!

The SDT doens't provide the libutil it seems. You can try with mine. put it on /var/lib

I'm running the latest Hydra beta and seems like they don't have GLIBC_2.0 in their libc.so.6.

Well it's not because "they don't have GLIBC_2.0 in their libc.so.6" but because they have stripped their GLIBC to their own needs.

There is 3 possibilities to solve this:

- use a glibc with the necessary symbols
- use a statically linked dropbear (but size will probably be a lot bigger)
- ask you image maker to include a dropbear in their next image. They will strip their glibc leaving the necessary symbols for dropbear.

I think the 3rd possibility should be the one to push.

Cheers.

Lololuy

Talking Re: Dropbear "ssh client/server for everyone !!

Hi everyone,
I found a quick solution!
Download from here http://download.dsmg600.info/dropbear-0.48.tar.bz2
- this one works on my standard-DM7000S (1.10 firmware)!
The device (a D-LINK router) seems to be somewhat similar...
Cheers & have fun,
Martin.
