how to install newcamd.i386

Hi
how to install newcamd on a linux machine

i put newcamd.i386 to /bin
newcamd.conf to /etc
libcrypto.so.0.9.7 to /lib

got this

linux:/bin # newcamd.i386

Hi
No need to install the newcamd.i386 in linux machin just what you nead is cardserver.i386 in location /var you cam make directory cs_server and the file cardserver.cfg you have to put it in /etc that's all what you want to do and also in this case you have to use Pohnex to run your card on is and share it with DreamBox as clint...

best regards

The libcrypto included is probably for PPC. You need to compile OpenSSL 0.9.6m for example and make sure to enable 'share' so it compiles the shared libraries. I don't understand why they compiled the i386 version to that instead of 0.9.7...

Hi guys!

On my Dreambox Cardserv, Cardspider and Newcamd are running very well!

Now, i wanted to set up a linux server on PC!

Cardserver.i386 and Cardspider.i386 are already running! My card is recognized in Phoenix Interface and the peer is online!

My problem: when i start newcamd on dreambox to connect to the Linux machine as client, i get errror messages for ports 10000:10002 and 4000:4020! It says "connection refused" !!

The newcamd.conf on dreambox is unchanged.

What a problem do i have? Must i change newcamd.conf to connect to linux server? What ports shall be open on my router for linux machine and what ports for my dreambox?

cu
Kleiner Junge.
