Dreambox 7000S Receiver / Tuner sensitivity problems

I am experiencing reception sensitivity problems with my Dreanbox 7000S.
Compared to a Humax & Echostar Receivers, there's definetely a problem with reception of some channels.

I have done some measurements with an approved reference SATLOOK instrument, and they show that even for High SNR (above 12.5dB), and low BER (below 1.5 x 10^-8), there is still a LOCK problem (no lock, no sync) with the Dreambox 7000.

While other receivers LOCK easily on these kind of channel numbers, the Dreambox will not.

Assuming that the Dreambox Tuner used is the same as with some other receivers, let's hope it is a Tuner Driver (e.g. - software) bug, that will be fixed by Dream MultiMedia in next FW releases.

Is this assumption realistic ? Can I expect any fix for Receiver Sensitivy in upcoming FW versions ?
Did anybody else experience the same problems ?

I agree with you for ex. i can look s*y It. with Humax but Dream refused to lock at the same freq. The question is how we can solve by us the sensitivity problems instead to wait a new release of Dm.

The question is whether it is a Software bug that can be fixed ?
Or, is it a Hardware problem ?

Almost 2 years later:
It looks like a Tuner Hardware problem.
It was fixed in the 7020 models - with a better Tuner module.
