How do you install Newcamd v5.08 into Twister x3

Can anyone tell me how to install Newcamd v5.08 into Twister x3
In the plug-in menu there is v5.07 that can be installed, anyone know when or if it will be upgraded to 5.08

Hi Gerry55,

I know this one

.... I am running rudream but I think it works the same ...
Get the zip file for newcamd at your favorite download site.
Take the binary's you need .. ( extension are .ppc and/or .dream ) and rename them and overwrite the ones in /var/bin ...make sure newcamd is not running when you overwrite the files
Don't forget to do "chmod 755 /var/bin/*" ... (if you ftp'ed it)

To change the listing in the emu settings screen ( BLUE button ) edit the file /var/tuxbox/config/emulist.xml.
use vi ( vi manual ) or dos2unix on the file if you editted with "bad" windows/dos editor.

There are just "small" changes in the config files.
The old ones should work.
