Re: Dreambox 7025+ Dead.

Hello Solly and thanks for the replay. I am almost sure that the problem is a harware problem but not software problem. When I plug the box in to wall power I get no light in the display window and nothing happends. I mesured the powersupplay and I get no DC voltages after the transformer in the powersupplay and no voltages to the hard disk plugg, so I think there is no switcing to make the dc voltages. Best regards, Siggi

PS: This box is brand new.

Re: Dreambox 7025+ Dead.

?? maybe your power supply is not suitible to your mains power ?? ie: 110 volts - 240 volts as you don't say where you are from ??

Re: Dreambox 7025+ Dead.

Hello Tagg. I am in Iceland and we have 230 volts power here. At the Dreambox there is a switch on back and it is on 230 volts. Regards, Siggi.

Re: Dreambox 7025+ Dead.

I had similar problems and bought a new Power supply some months ago. My PSU was an early revision but all problems gone after changing it.

Hello alunjones and thanks for replay. I went yesterday and bought a new powersupplay and plugged it in but the box is still dead so it must be the motherboard. I will send it back to seller. Best regards, Siggi

Re: Dreambox 7025+ Dead.

Just a thought Siggij - I would have thought that if you unplug the motherboard from the PSU you should still get some basic voltages (e.g. 5v should still work, as this would be needed for the standby button electronics to work). I would start fault finding with the PSU disconnected at first. Though it is quite possible that it is the m/board stopping the PSU from starting up.

Re: Dreambox 7025+ Dead.

Hello robbieb43. There must be a looptrou from the motherboard to the psu becouse I have two new psu's witch act exectly the same way. The psu is doing nothing no matter if it is plugged to the motherboard or not. Best regards, Siggi.
