DM7025 - 'lights are on but nobody home'

I have a DM7025 that when powered up does nothing. The front screen lights up, however there is no writing, messages or anything. When I try and connect using dreamup universal and null modem, I get a message that prompts me to turn the box on, I then get a message saying that it's recognised a DM7025 connection, I then get a message saying "initiating flash-loader upload" and it does nothing else.

Is it possible to flash erase a DM7025, or does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get this box going again?

Thanks for any help

For anyone following this thread ... I resolved the problem by removing the HDD. Once I did this I was able to boot the dreambox again.
