Alternative EPG

Hello,

I have been using Gemini images since I bought my DM7025 a little while ago and it works fine. However I am not at all happy with the way the EPG looks. Also living in Sweden and using DVB-T all I get is maximum 2 days of EPG (not a DM problem, rather that the provider is not transmitting more info).

What I am looking for really is an EPG that gives me a look and feel that is more like the MediaPortal or M$ MCE version of an EPG. The key issue that I have with the existing EPG is that once you step forward to the next item in the list (blue button), it starts getting messy. The guide is stepping item by item on each separate channel rather than stepping in time. The result is that you are viewing channel listings with potentially several hours spread. After a few steps forward you end up with a channel showing many short programs, like childrens channel, being listed with the next item at say 20.00 and a movie channel is at 15.00 THE NEXT DAY... very confusing.

Besides the visual aspect the preferred solution would be that the EPG downloaded the guide from the web, XMLTV. The simple reason is that then I would be able to get a guide containing up 14 days of material, for example from http://tv.swedb.se

Having googled around, the one solution that I have found (MV-plugin EPG) is not working on the 7025 as I understand it.
Is there anyone out there who have found an alternative solution to the inbuilt EPG or MV??
A welcome intermediate step would be to be able to dowload and convert an XMLTV guide to the native Enigma2 format so I at least can get the additional days available on the net.
Perhaps all I need is to run a different image that already has it's own EPG??

Re: Alternative EPG

unfortunately, this is one area where the 7025 is lacking. i am hoping that someone will hopefully bring out a better EPG for the 7025 eventually but it hasn't happened yet...
