7025 -two tuners

Hi, i am about to install a dual lnb (ie two cables coming from the same sat dish) on my new 7025, one cable on Tuner 1 and the other on Tuner 2.

My question is, after i scan both Tuners, how will the channels appear on my dreambox??? Will the appear in double?

You see, i intent to watch one channel while recording another...(both channels from the same transponder/satellite).

Am sure a lot of you have done this before so please advise!!!!

Thanks!!!!

PS. Using Gemini 1.6

Re: 7027 -two tuners

You don't need to scan both tuners.
Set the second tuner to "equal to A" and do a scan only to the first tuner.
All channels will be ones at your box and you don't have to worry for anything.

Re: 7027 -two tuners

Second tuner "equal to A" or "loopthrough to A"?

zg0re is an unknown quantity at this point
AW: 7027 -two tuners

equal to A.

After that enigma2 will handle everything itself, meaning it will use the second tuner if it has to

Re: 7027 -two tuners

If you have a single NLB and you connect the output of the first tuner to the second then you must select loop through to A.
if you have Twin NLB and you have 2 cables from the roof then select equal to A.

If have twin NLB you can record a program and watch another regardless the transporters. But there is a possible failure if you use a subscriber card an the DM can’t read the keys for the second channel. (Ex if you use a CI)
