second tuner.

hi

i have a 7025. Both tuners connected to a dual lnb. Question is..is it possible to get the second tuner working yet, or are we still waiting on software for this??

If so can anyone point me in a rough direction on how to do this, as cant find anything in the menu system for this.

thankyou all,

Re: second tuner.

Hi,
The second tuner is working fine. And with the new gemini and SDT images you can start 2 recordings at the same time.
The only problem I have is that my card is not recognized by the software and I'm using a CI. The problem is that the CI can't give the keys for the second tuner

Can you please share some info on how to do this ? I've attached the "output" of tuner A to "input" on tuner B, done a new search after choosing "Connected to tuner A" and still the dreambox changes to the channel I've setup the timer to record.

I'm using Davinci 2.0 if that matters.

Any pointers are most welcome.

Re: second tuner.

hi,

all working sweetly.

not sure myself about connecting output from the first tuner to the second tuners input. I have a dual lnb with two seperate cables to the box.

i am defo warming towards this box, i had my doubts at first but performing great now. Have parted with my 7020 now so there is no turning back now, not missing it in the slightist.

cheers

Hi,

First, all new images like SDT 2.0 and the new gemini have problems with the timer. Recordings dome times start other not. I'm using SDT 1.0
Your problem is that you don’t have a twin NLB. If you use loop threw the box will switch channels every time the channel you are watching isn’t at the same transporter with the channel you are intent to write.
And you have to be sour that your card can give the keys to the second tuner. Mine can’t
