Well, me old china, boot is usually on t'other foot, doncha know.

Y'see, if you go here and yer download the big pics, you'll see that on the front of the 7025 is a big flashy USALS logo. Now, if it says USALS on the tin, and when you open it you don't get USALS in the tin, 'specially if you queued up for it for a year, well, you'd be a tad miffed, wouldn't you?

Re: db7075 motor setup

Well, I got mine yesterday and tried to stop it going into the wizard. OK, it went into the wizard, failed to find any channels on the sat I was on and now it seems to want me to set up each satellite individually and to enter my lat long into the setup every time. Then when I hit go to nothing happens. It could be because it was 1:30 in the morning. I know. I'll have another go tonight.

Re: db7075 motor setup

I found out that 7025 has automatic satellite finding technology but my problem is something else. The electricity does not go through the motor at all because when I am entering the geographical details of my aria and starting auto scan nothing happens and even with the bottoms of the motor (the motor which I have has two bottoms which gives the possibility to move the dish to left and right) it is not possible to move the dish. I think the problem is some how related to the detail of the motor setting in DB's satellite configuration. I would appreciate if some body could help, to let me know hw can I solve this problem.

Re: db7075 motor setup

Guys I've just bought a DM7025 and first job was to flash it to Gemini 2 Project v1.70. Next job was from the blue panel select plugins. then select positioner setup.

I've setup several satellites without usals by using the plugin to move the sat and store each sat with a position number. Currently I've done Thor (my motor at 0 degrees), hotbird 13e , and astra 19e.
Scan for channels, found thousands !

I use a Motec diseqc motor.

Re: db7075 motor setup

Hi Guys,

I just got a DM7025 to replace my DM500 but I am hitting a brick wall as the DM7025 is not scanning the channels. I used to have 13°E, 19.2°E and 28.2°E and now the DM7025 is returning around 100 channles. I used to get over 3000.
What I did was selecting the "positionner setup" under setup>searching. Input my coordinate (got that from www.heavens-above.com). After this it returns only about 100 channels from 19.2°E and 23.5°E and nothing esle. I am running Gemini1.9 Note that before flashing I had the same problem. Please help - no TV in the house until it is fixed...

Regards,
Mathias

Re: db7075 motor setup

Hi Mathias,

I have a DM7025 (enigma2 2.0) also connected to a diseqc motor. I can get 30°W, 5°W, 7°E, 13°E, 19°2E and 28.2°E, without problem. I did not test other positions.
Maybe you misorientated your dish to have so few channels. Anyway, the setup of the positionner is still a bit tricky, and has sometimes to be reset.
Also, check precisely your coordinates. For me, 'heavens-above' gives 0.1° of difference in both directions with my actual position (given by GPS).

Regards,

Ben_31
