Any chance of a review of the 7025?

Folks,
any of the 7025 pioneers care to offer some review detail or even screenshots?

Re: Any chance of a review of the 7025?

A very short review:

No unofficial images available
No cams no emus
No plugins
No webinterface
Overall looks very nice

7025 cpuinfo
Code:
root@dm7025:~# cat /proc/cpuinfo
system type : ATI XILLEON HDTV SUPERTOLL
processor : 0
cpu model : MIPS 4KEc V4.8
BogoMIPS : 297.98
wait instruction : yes
microsecond timers : yes
tlb_entries : 16
extra interrupt vector : yes
hardware watchpoint : yes
VCED exceptions : not available
VCEI exceptions : not available
Processor is able to decode HD-channels like HDFORUM, ASTRA HD, C MORE HD, EUROHD1080 and scales the picture to fit my cheap TV
Recording works

Basically it's a very expensive FTA-receiver at the moment, as it doesn't have any other cams than dreamcryptcam...

I'd love to put some screenshots but haven't still found a way how to do it

thanks for that.. at least it does confirm that things are still in the early days still. and like all other models before it, the magic won't happen until the images start rolling.

Re: Any chance of a review of the 7025?

can't you run one emu from the boot if you add it
to the init ? or just rename whatever emu to dcamd .
you don't need a camd deamon for a single emu .

Stability has so far been good.

The problem is that emus are compiled for ppc-architecture and 7025 is not a ppc, it's mipsel-architecture, so the emu's are not compatible at the moment.

There are some photos and quotes (non-english) taken from other forum.

Re: Any chance of a review of the 7025?

Well, i dont know. I mean, even if a processor is able to do something, that doesnt mean that it is logically enabled (in the box architecture) to do such a thing. If that was true, why no HD output? Or decoding outputs in a way that "normal" TVs can handle?

Yes.

Some people though say the HD-channels mentioned earlier not to be true HD. Don't know about that. But when tested with my other receivers, I only receive sound from the same channels, only the 7025 is able to give me a crystal clear picture with sound.
