HDD problem, sport event record is bad (pixellisation), other record OK

Hi,

I have tried the following Hard drive (recommanded by DreamMultimedia for DM7000)
Maxtor Maxline II 5A300J0 (5400 rpm).

When I record some films, the record is OK.
When I record sport even (higher bitrate) the record is bad.
When I read back the record I have pixellisation every 10 second.
Did someone has tested this hard drive ?

Did someone have the same problem with other hdd ?
What is the solution to solve this problem ?

It might have to do with accoust managament of the image, depending on the image, if its set to quiet it the hdd needles might be too slow to record high bitrate video, so u need to try and put accoustic managment to "set accoustic managment off" on expert menu.

I have tried the hdparm command:
hdparm -M 254 /dev/ide/....../disc
This is for running the hdd at max speed.
I've seen hdparm -M 128 in the /etc/init.d/rcS of hydra image.

This is better with 254, but there is still some small problems.
Maybe I have to do new tests later on.

Have you other ideas ?
