Bad Signal ...possible Tuner Issue.

I have a dreambox 7000s with a 80 cm dish and the signal for multivision (hotbird 4/6 13E Europe band) is about 50-54% . As you can cocnlude it is impossible to watch those channels. Same thing happens with most of Thor 1W. Can I solve this somehiw...can I tweak the LNB settings or something? If none is possible , if I change to a 1,00 m dish will I get a better signal?

Hi, change to invacom 0.3 LNB's and you will get dramastic better signal (even with DB) on my site i have posted a test and also screenshots of the differences between an old 0.5 head and 0.3 invacom head.

The differance is 10-20 % in signal strength.

I used again a 0.6 and it was ok...I guess my lnb was getting old and started degrading ....I would really like to get a 0.3 invacom but the price is a bit too much for me right now. Ofcourse, what u give is what u get!!

Just bought a universal 0.3 dB LNB for just 9.95 euro, can not consider that expensive (Maximum SF-10). It works perfect on my DB 7000S (SN 83% ACG 63% on astra 19.2)

Dont need an expensive LNB;but just replace a cable 100db ,and u get
strong signal,.its more economic solution.

It is probably better than the Invacom. I bought an Invacom a year ago but it is sitting on the desk now (and the old Grundig is back outside) because birds have pecked through the orange foil that they put in front of the feedhorn instead of a sturdy plastic cap as on all other LNB types.

Yeah, this is a feature of the Invacoms. I use ALPS which are very robust and don't have this "feature".
