5620 hanging on startup

I have a 5620 that hangs on startup and only displays the "5600 boot" message. This happened when I went to reboot the box after loading an image.

I am now unable to go past this with either Dreamup or HyperTerminal.

Nokia Rules said at http://sat-industry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=5794
If the box hangs or wont boot anymore for some reason -
- connect nullmodem cable to RS232 port of DM5620
- start hyperterminal
- settings COM port of PC used
- 115200 baud
- 8 bits
- no stop bit
xon/xoff control

This should give you a clean control window of hyperterminal in front of you
ok now start up your DM5620 and in the HT window you will see Dreambox DM5620 message, then you should see the current settings and the bootmanger menu
The autoboot must be enabled and boot device must be set to Flash - press "S" to save settings and "0" to boot from the flash then everything will be back to life as per normal.

I have done all of this an all I get is the following message scrolling around in the hyperterminal window.

Dreambox DM5620
loaded at: 00500000 006161F8
relocated to: 00400000 005161F8
board data at: 00513128 00513168
relocated to: 00404C14 00404C54
zimage at: 00405150 00512A99
avail ram: 00517000 02000000

Linux/PPC load: console=null root=/dev/mtdblock5 rootfstype=squashfs ro
Uncompressing Linux...done.
Now booting the kernel

Can anybody direct me in the right direction on how to fix this? Thanks in advance,
Brett

do the following:

when you see Linux/PPC load..... press space bar then type:

console=ttyS0,115200 <ENTER>

and you should see more.... copy and paste here again!

Looks like a DM7000 image flashed into a 5620

The 56xx series kernel does not use squashfs but rather cramfs so I suspect you flashed an incompatible image here m8

I am unable to type anything. By pressing the space bar or anything else, the cycle of what I pasted keeps scrolling around and around about every couple of minutes.
Is there any other way of breaking into this repetitive pattern to be able to type the "console" part in?

OK reflash with latest The_Hydra image for 56xx Dreambox but make sure it is for 56xx series not 7000 series!

If your spacebar doesn't react, try to type a "0" (zero) instead of space

"0" won't work either.
At the moment, I can only connect via a null modem, as I have order a crossover cable which should turn up any tomorrow hopefully, so I can only flash with Dreamup 5620. When I try to do this the status changes to "GOT START SEQUENCE, STARTING UPLOAD" and it then appears to do nothing. I have waited upto about 10 minutes with no change.
Is there any other way of reflashing or getting around it?

Not sure what you mean to do it twice. I have just started and stopped everything that I have tried and been told as above, but anable to get anything to change.

When I get the message in dreamup saying "got startsequence, start upload", the only thing that I can select is exit as all the other boxes are greyed out. Therefore I cannot get access to the flash box to be able to select an image. Is this what you meant?

This is not a bug in DreamUp... I bet he uses an OS built on NT technology
