not booting!!!!!!!!

Im having a big problem for more than a month now and im trying to do everything to solve the problrm....
I've been changing my DB image from time to time.. some times i use hydra and some times i use gemini without any problems
one day my DB got stuck on hydra image so i changed it to gemini but the DB didn't boot!!! i tried three four times and nothing happened.. i installed the orginal image using dream up without anyluck!!!! so i've been told that my bootloader is gone and i need JTAG to fix it... i ordered the JTAG and flashed my bootloader but the problem is still there!!!! after i download a new image or the orginal image still my DB not booting...eventhough when i press on the above bottom nothing change!!! all i get 5600 moving left and right on the display screen..

Any help will be really appreaciated

Hi Seba,

I have DM 7000S but I think if you see 5600 moving on the LCD it means that your box isn't busted at all. Maybe the option boot from flash got to be disabled when the latest OS hang happened. Check it with Hyperterminal.

Hyperterminal is a Windows comms application . - Its under Start/Programs/Accessories ...in most windows builds ( assuming its installed by default that is ! )
I would be trying a suitable FTP application myself ..like total commander maybe ..or Telnet . Have you tried to reflash the box with a Factory image ..it always pays to do this first , then go looking for the problem 2nd . Cheers Modify

Try to run Hyperterminal (look for it in Windows menus) and paste here your connection log when booting up the dreambox (this problem happened to me few times

I run Hyperterminal and all i get when i switch my DB is that Dreambox DM5620. and nothing else!!!!

As soon as you switch on the db immediately press return, you will see log appearing on the Hyperterminal windo.
