boot problem - help please

Hi Athoz, sorry to hear that you are still having problem. Some time ago I could not connect my 5620 with Dreamup5620. After a lot of worry I tried Dreamup5600 and it connected and then flashed Rel106 OK.

Having a similar problem as athoz but min DB5620-s don't start at all only 5600 boot on the display all the time ?? What to do about this problem ??

have u tried connecting your box with hyperterminal (via cable null modem)?
In my case I think my bootloader is corrupted but I had no time to get it to the shop!

YES AND NOTHING IS HAPPENING ONLY A BLACK SCREEN !!!
My gess is that my bootloader is corrupted. What did you think ???
What to do when the bootloader is corrupted ?? New box or sending the box to germany ??

u can use a jtag to repaire bootloader, there r two versions:one 4 linux and one 4 windows

Do you have the 5600 boot running when you switch on the db ? In that case the bootloader is most likely OK. As Athoz says you should get the hyperterminal log before you decide what to do next. There is info here on how to connect and log with hyperterminal. A corrupted bootloader can be reprogrammed with a jtag or the Cas2 Addon.

had similar problems some time ago. 5600 boot running across display and black sreen on tv. no connection via dreamup or hyperteminal. got myself a jtag off ebay and repaired the bootloader.Now working perfectly.

What model of JTAG did you buy ?? Can you give me a example ?? Where do i find a windows program to JTAG:en later ???
