cant find db 500

when i use ipconfig/all the db does not show up in the list. do i have turn on
networking, i did trun it off when i used the rs232 port. any help please.

IPCONFIG /ALL (windows command only) will only report back what physical network devices are in the PC, not present on the network. If you have any image installed on your DB use the menu button/setup/expert setup/communication setup and either assign a static IP address or use DHCP if you have a DHCP Server on your network. Then Telnet to the ip of the DB and type ifconfig (all lowercase) and it will report back the physical ethernet connection for the dreambox.

it only took me three hour to find out their is a typeo inthe directions that i
was trying to follow..thanks for your input..
