Hi i am reading through all the posts for this model,dont realy know where to start i have a skybox with card bbc1-channel-5 are activated on it.
i have flashed my dm500s with gemini 2.00,where do i enter my serial number?what config file?cardserver?could someone shed some light next steps.

I'd suggest going for Gemini 2.10, then install from the plugins page the newcamd 6.1 package. There's another package for newcamd-conf files, I believe, which get put in /var/tuxbox/config.

As I understand it, so long as you have newcamd 6.1 running, and a valid Sky card, you should get everything other than things like sky sports, sky movies, etc, working. However, if you have a subscription which has access to those extra services, you'll need to input your boxid number into the newcamd.conf file (/var/tuxbox/config/newcamd.conf) -- if you look at the file it's pretty clear where it needs to be.

Your boxid can be found in one of the online menus of your digibox, or perhaps on the digibox itself (or the packaging it came with).

no, not from videoguard/nds providers: ie: skyitaly&uk only with cardsharing

I have a similar question, I am trying to get sky angel service, I have already paid for the programming, they tell me they need a box and card number, I can't find anything to work. I am using a dreambox S.

Is there a box number I can give them that will allow activation? I don't have any cards.
