Angry Canal Digitaal card does not work on DM 500 s

Hi Fellas

I am getting very annoyed. This is the situation:
- I've got an official card (and registered it also!) canal digitaal
- DM 500, Gemini, Newcamd BETAD v5.28

The card doesnt work. It has worked however, but wednesday it stopped. So, ive put in different images (hydra and gemini) with different newcamd versions both with and without cardspider. Also Camx, Radegast versions have failed to run.

I've had this issue before, i've had to flash it trhoug serial!!! But the f@#$ thing now has the same issue. I am not looking forward for yet another flash session through my serial.. Via net is much faster and also works.

So i have not yet done a flash erase for this on serial.. As i stil dont buy that i need to do this.

This is the printout when trying to start cardserver manual from telnet.
[cardserver 12:59:42] /dev/sci0: Device or resource busy

Looking at this file is impossible, its 0 bytes in size:
crw------- 1 root root 242, 0 Jan 1 1970 sci0

So, this is the server config:
DESKEY = 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
SERVER_NAME = cardserver
DEBUG_PORT = 14000
ENTITLEMENT_PORT = 14001
ADMIN_PORT = 14002
ADMIN_PASSWORD = secret 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
USER = root dreambox lan 127.0.0.1 12000 au
DEBUG_INIT = no
DEBUG_NET = no
DEBUG_ECM = no
DEBUG_EMM = no

SERIAL_PORT = 1
TCP_PORT = 10001
# CARD_DETECT_INVERT = yes
EMM-G = yes
EMM-S = yes
EMM-U = yes
SPECIAL_FEATURES = yes

So, could the F@#$ cardconnector be wasted? My guess, chances are like virtually 0 on that.. But then nothing isimpossble!

The card is fine: the stupid card works on my neighbours set!!

My set however seems to ignore it completely!

Anyone suggestions why this is an issue.. What is wrong.

$ ps ax |grep newcam
...if running, get pid(s) from 1st column
$ kill pid(s)-from-above
$ /var/bin/newcamd (or where ever you have it)
...give us output
