Dreambox 500 stop working

I have a dreambox 500 for two month.

Yesterday I used the Remote control to open it but I didn't got any signal. The green led was on

I unpluged it from the the supply and i put it again but the dreambox green light was not working. I see the optical output "light". Also no ethernet leds worked.

I pluged and unplegged 2-3 times and both green and red leds light!

Repeating the above procedure i Finally got the green led lighting but no signal and no communication via Etherner or serial cable (I tryn the Dreamup software as Dream multimedia suggests)

Anyone with the same experience or recommendations before i take it to my local dealer?

I've got similar problem: the green standby light i solid but can't display anything on tv.
I've connected a console cable to the serial, 115k,8,1,n and can't see anything.

Did you get yours fixed?

When using Dream-up you must click "erase" first before flashing image

Finaly it was a failed Boot-Rom. There was no way to re-program it ( I didn't have the equipment for this).

The service fix it in a day. I have it back working!

I have same problem today. The light is on but Dreambox does not boot and I can not comunicate over ethernet port. It was working fine last night but today suddenly is not working.
Does anyone know solution for this problem?

flash dreambox by using dream up

conect your box rs232 with your pc with serial cabel ( nul modem cabel )

start dreamup use serial function only and click conect .. than start your dreambox
whene you get conection click on erase flash .... after that upload the image you want
