Usb option on a 500S

Is it possible to mod the 500s to support a USB(Universal Seriel Bus) connection?

You can try a COM port to USB converter... no idea if it will work tho

You can use this:
Asus WL-HDD is a wireless Access Point with a IDE interface , a USB port, ethernet port, and a Wireless AP/client...
It can run a NFS server...
AND it runs linux....

need I say more? ...

The problem so far: It is possible to read recordings from it without problems, but recordings still get "hickups"...

Can you use it for extra/bigger images and plugins too?

yes. if you mount it (nfs) in the db500, you can access the data as if it were on the db500... so you are only limited by the disc on the wl-hdd.
recording works, but with errors.
