dreamUp (DM500) refuses to work....

I did the following:

Disconnected DB500 from power supply
start dreamUp V2.41 (with network support)
enter the local and remote ip
press "connect"

DreamUp displays: " connection prepared-now switch on the dreambox"

Connected the power supply to the DB500
It boots up...
but DreamUp remains "waiting..."

any tips ?

PS: I don't have a serial cable..

You need a Nullmodem cable bot a serial to use DreamUp! That's compulsory!

Yesterday, after testing the Neutrino Image, I tried to upload Gemini with Flashwizard Pro... which stopped responding after a while....
result: My Dreambox turned into a zombie....

This morning I've built a null modem cable, and managed to access it with DreamUp... pfffff....
I used the last version. Ethernet upgrade, didn't even start.... Serial upgrade also failed at about 85%...
So I tested an older version, and managed to upload neutrino...

To anyone who migth need it, here's the wiring for the cable:
