dm500 + MAC

Hello, I'm new to this forum and a 100 percent dreambox newbie. And I'd like to hook up my dm500s to a Mac. Hooking up via ethernet is no problem and the box responds correctly. But from there on I'm lost. So I just wonder if there is anybody around who could lend me a helping hand.

Thank you for your asking to be more precise ;-)

I know that I can use vlc for streaming satellite tv content. But how to make vlc understand is beyond my knowledge. There is quite some software around to handle this but mostly written for the 7000's and using web interfaces newer than the dm500's 1.06 version. Does this make my quest any clearer ?

the function of the 500 is close to the 7000, so i think you can use it as on a 7000 (don't have a 500 my own)

That's what I did only to find out that my vpid isnt clickable but why ??? But thanks anyway for the url...
