DreamTV 0.4.9 and DM500

Anyone successfully streaming video to a PC with a DM500 ?

1) With Hydra B1 it worked most of the time, but would pause, get out of sync etc..

2) With SF Image it does work most of the time screen stays blank and error message "Rendering suspended" comes up!

I see a few thread with reference to ruDream and DreamTV working OK! is there a DM500 verison of ruDream?

You could try to use the VLC tool to stream video. I have not tested if it works in the DM500 but should be possible to use it.
Also there is the Nagrab tool to capture video. Maybe you can capture and play somehow.

I didn't have time to test those tools yet. I need to setup nfs first.

Let us know if you get something working.

Tested VLC and it didn't work... probably because it is compiled for the DM7000 and it fails with the DM500. Also the Shoutcast plugin failed. And could not get Ngrab to work... :-(

just some clarification, DreamTV is working, but just a bit flaky (pause & re-sync), not sure whether this got to do with:

a) the PC i'm using not being up-to spec for streaming video i.e. no graphics accelarator, Pentium III 1.2Ghz w/ 256MB only

or

b) network interface/connection to PC receiving ~8MB cannot be sustained

or (c) which I hope is not the case!!!!

c) DM500 doesn't stream error free data

Maybe others have sucessfully sreamed video from the DM500.

I am trying with Tuxvision, but it also halts en restarts, I don't think the PC is the problem mine is fast enough.
