Recording on External HDD

I am not able to record on the correctly mounted External HDD, DB will complain that there is no HDD when you press record.
Does somebody have work around that?

Have you formated the disk? First of all which image do you use and what kind of HD? Go to setup menu and search for HD Options,I don't remember the exact root! There you can format the disk and find any info you want! Hope this will help you

The HDD is Mextor 250G, I am using SF 1.08.1, the HD was formated and mounted
that is result for the HDD information on The USB:
~ > ls /mnt/usb/
local lost+found
~ > ls /mnt/usb/local/
archive bin fonts lib pictures plugins skins tit

I also tryed to creat link to the HDD on USB and rejected as it read only

You need the mount to be

/dreambox/lost+found as well as
/dreambox/movie

it will only record if the configuration is correct

I haven't internal hard disk in dreambox Can I record the movie directly on usb hard disk ..? Thankss
