I suspect a kernel panic here m8, Can you do us a favour.

1. telnet to your 500
2. killall rcS
3. killall enigma
4. /bin/enigma

Lots of debug info should scroll. Make newcamd crash and if you can cut and paste the tail end of the debug info (the whole window should be enough).

Update: Sorry Hydra dudes, I think I have solid confirmation that smartcam is indeed the culprit, When you set Smartcam to use Radegast then telnet, kill rdgd then start cardserver, newcamd and zpider manually everything works like a charm, I even deliberately tried to crash it but couldn't

Sm@rtcam IS the same as the DM7000 and the DM56xx. The boot code for the DM500 is almost the same as the DM56xx

All smartcam does is save the last used Emulator to file... when u zap it checks to see wether the last used emu is the same for the new channel.. if it needs to change it, then you will see the "Starting xxxxxxxxx" popup. I will investigate it but the last line on the Enigma dump is "Bus Error" so that is a bit confusing

Now that you've mentioned it, Smartcam also almost always restarts newcamd unnecessarily (the pop up comes up when zapping from one newcamd channel to another and nothing sticky) and the box crashes right after the popup disappears. This never happens when Radegast is selected in smartcam.

So DKNY, until The Hydra team come up with a fix, if you want to run newcamd and don't care for radegast, try replacing the radegast binary with a script that runs your newcamd files and make sure you select radegast in smartcam. I haven't personally tried it yet but it should work.

but must of scrambel chaneel not working with this Emu & i update the keys but nothing work but my DB500s bettr than before
& with newcamd my DB500s i got the screen on the TV is blanck & i got dead receiver again

Just use internet key update and radegast will clear all emu clearable channels. If you want to run newcamd KEEP smartcam on RADEGAST, telnet to your DM and do this:

killall rdgd
cardserver.dream
newcamd.ppc

then zap channels normally and disregard the message on the infobar stating radegast is running

With your remote control But are you sure you have your correct configuration files in var/tuxbox/config and the correct keys?
